Within the Chianti DOCG area, there are 8 separate sub-zones under which to further differentiate the wines. Colli Senesi lies south of Chianti Classico in the Siena hills and is the largest of these sub-zones, and includes the noted Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano areas.
Gigi Vagnoni who produces his wines true to the original style of San Gimignano using indigenous grapes. This wine is a traditional Tuscan red that is pleasurable to drink, especially for people who enjoy old world style wines.
