NV Franciacorta DOCG 750ml

Description

The name Franciacorta is used as a designation, like the name “Champagne” for the sparkling wines produced in Franciacorta in the province of Brescia in Lombardy. Similar to champagne, it is made using the traditional method of a secondary fermentation within the bottle, and with the same grape varieties. That is where the similarities end.

Franciacorta has an Alpine climate which is low elevation but influenced by nearby mountains.

The grapes produce a rich and balanced base wine, which then undergoes a secondary fermentation within the bottle for a minimum of 18 months (the minimum requirement for Champagne is 15 months).

This Franciacorta displays an exceptional freshness and zesty acidity, with a velvety texture and fine balance, concluding with appealing notes of citrus.
