Description

Chardonnay grown in Piemonte has great character and a style all its own. Marco Dogliotti grows about one hectare of Chardonnay in the village of Ottiglio Monferrato, which is a beautifully green, hilly, and slightly forested area in the province of Alessandria, Piemonte. The wine is aged for 12-18 months in small oak casks, and it tends to be a richer style of Chardonnay, akin to Chablis, with beautiful mineral characteristics, rounded and soft on the palate.
