Description
Porcini mushrooms are an excellent example of a genuinely Tuscan ingredient. For centuries fresh porcini have been gathered in autumn and naturally dried to ensure their availability during the rest of the year.
Naturbosco forage for their porcini mushrooms in locations across Tuscany, Umbria and Piedmont which remain a closely guarded family secret. These mushrooms are not treated in any way, and they are not genetically modified.
Use porcini mushrooms to add a deep earthy and nutty flavour to soups, stews, sauces, risotto and almost any pasta dish.
To use, steep the dried mushrooms in warm to hot water for between 15 and 20 minutes. Remember to save the broth after draining to add incredible depth whenever stock is required.
