Description

Il Mulino Sardo Gnocchetti allo Zafferano combine plain semolina and saffron-flavoured small pasta shells.

They are traditionally cooked with rich tomato-based sauces using pork, lamb or sausage meat and fresh or salted sheep cheese.

For each 100g of Gnocchetti Sardi, bring 1L of water to the boil. Add 10g of sea salt. Pour in the gnocchetti, stir well, and allow to cook for 15 minutes.

Drain and combine with the prepared sauce. Alternatively, enjoy them with fresh ricotta and/or grated pecorino and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
