Description
The Clematis is a strong selection of the best, unmarked Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes that have been withered in vineyards after the harvest by cutting the vine arm that bears the fruit. A subsequent four year total ageing takes place in 50L French oak half-barriques.
The wine displays typical aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice. The palate is well-balanced with flavours of plum, blackcurrant, spice and liquorice. Serve Clematis with chocolate, pastries, or simply on its own.
