Description
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso was named after its red stem on the grape bunches and is native to the Friulian region of north-eastern Italy. It produces deeply coloured wines that are medium to full-bodied and which are sometimes described as similar to Cabernet Franc in structure. The elevated acidity means it pairs well with a wide range of foods.
The grapes are hand-picked from the best hillside sites located on the Dri estate. After a rigorous selection process, only the best of these grapes are vinified. The wine then spends an extended period of time ageing in French barriques.
