Montebruna is a wine that speaks of its land. The vineyards are located in Rocchetta Tanaro, a narrow hilltop ridge just outside of Asti. In contrast to nearby Barolo and Barbaresco, this area is characterised by patches of dense, misty forest and grassy hillsides.
The texture of the soil, which is on the heavier side, produces wines which are intensely aromatic with slightly savoury flavour characteristics.
This wine has distinctive aromas of black cherries, smoke and earth, and the palate is lush with black fruit, spice and minerality.
A medium-dense red suitable for ageing for a few years
