The best pastry recipes are known to many of us from our zia (aunt) or nonna (grandmother), and usually not in written form. There's nothing that makes your dinner guests smile more than when you serve an eye-catching dessert at the end of a home-cooked Italian meal.

In this class you will discover basics and techniques to make your own Cornetti, Pan di Spagna, Crema Pasticcera, Zuppa Inglese and other simple pastries. You will learn how easy it is to bake up batches of some favourite, classic Italian pastries that you can proudly share with your family and friends. It's sure to be a lot of delicious fun.

This is an HANDS-ON class, guided by Chef Michele Usci.  

About Michele Usci

Michele Usci is an accomplished Italian Chef with global experience. He has worked in many restaurants in Italy, beginning his career in 1985 in Ancona. Michele has worked in the UK, Swizerland, France as well as here in Australia where he has been part of some Melbourne's most famous Italian establishments:Caffe e Cucina, Rosati, Il Baccaro and more recently the DOC Group. Michele is a well-known teacher and consultant for the Italian Chamber of Commerce and William Angliss Institute of Technology.

 All hands-on cooking classes are only suitable for participants 18 years and over.

Transport & Parking:

Tram routes 1 and 6. Bus routes 250, 251 and 253 travel along Rathdowne St. Get off at Richardson St and walk two blocks west towards Lygon St.

There are 2 - 3 Hour parking bays in the surrounding streets. All day meters are available on Lygon St and McPherson Street near the cemetery. Please check parking signs as restrictions may vary.

Cancellations & Refunds:

A full refund or transfer to another class will be issued if three (3) working days' notice is given. Late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable if less than three (3) working days' notice is given. We reserve the right to cancel or alter the class date due to circumstances that have arisen beyond our control. In this event you will be advised accordingly, and a full refund will be given if the new date is not suitable to you or a transfer to another class cannot be organised.
