Braida 'Bricco della Bigotta' 2010

2010 Barbera d'Asti DOCG 750ml

Description

As with a few of the Braida wines, they are so-called for the eccentric locals who lived near the vineyard sites. In this case 'Bigotta' was named for a religious woman who valued the appearance of piousness rather than the substance of it. This wine is from a single vineyard which is one of the top sites in Rocchetta Tanaro.
Giacomo Bologna, the late founder of Braida and the pioneer of Barbera as a variety to be recognised as an age-worthy fine red wine, ensured his legacy with the creation of this wine. Keep a bottle of Bricco della Bigotta for 20 years and you will be handsomely rewarded.
